Express Logic, Inc., the worldwide leader in royalty-free real-time operating systems (RTOS), and Interpeak, a pioneer of Internet and secure networking software for embedded systems, today announced that the companies have integrated Express Logic’s ThreadX® RTOS and Interpeak’s TCP/IP stacks. ThreadX customers will now be able to incorporate Interpeak’s advanced security and networking applications into their high performance and small footprint embedded devices.

Interpeak’s dual-mode IPv4/IPv6 IPNET and IPLITE stacks are now fully integrated with the ThreadX RTOS. In addition to Interpeak’s full-featured TCP/IP networking stacks, ThreadX users can now select from a complete suite of networking security products such as IPsec, IKEv1/v2, SSL, SSH , firewall, and SNMPv2/v3 to enable their embedded applications. Additionally, ThreadX users can leverage Interpeak’s tight integration with silicon vendors to support the hardware crypto acceleration required in security applications.

Wireless developers using ThreadX now have access to a full range of products targeted specifically at the wireless market. The building blocks now available to ThreadX customers for the creation of robust wireless designs include Interpeak’s WiFi drivers, RADIUS client, L2TPv2/v3, VPN capabilities, Mobile IP products, and WPA/WPA2 Supplicant, which provides extensive support for EAP protocols (EAP-TLS, EAP-PEAP, EAP-MD5, EAP-TTLS, EAP-SIM, EAP-MSCHAPv2 and EAP-AKA).
